New FY26 NDAA authority let DOD skip the prototype step entirely for the Family of Affordable Mass Missiles.

7. Space Force Wants to Centralize Every Payload Launch: Comments on the draft RFP are due August 6, with the final RFP landing early FY2027. Get your comments in now, this is a rare shot at shaping the requirement before it locks.
8. 33 Alliant 3 Slots Are Still Open: GSA awarded 43 of 76 spots on this uncapped IDIQ in February. Missing Phase 1 doesn't close the door, it just narrows it.

1. CMMC Phase 2 Stays Paused, Reform Task Force Forming Behind Closed Doors: Keep your SPRS documentation current no matter what the pause tells you. A report is due in roughly eight weeks with no announced membership yet, and catching up after CMMC 3.0 lands will cost more than staying current now.
2. The FOCI Rule Reaches Down to $5M Contracts Is Coming for Your Cap Table: Run a FOCI self-assessment before your next raise or M&A conversation, not after. This hits VC and private equity-backed small businesses hardest, and the clock on disclosure is three days once it triggers.
